ABOUT

Over the winter quarter 2016, I have created 5 small projects that create an interactive media by writing computer code. I used the software language called Processing and it is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animations, and interactions. Using this software language, I created an interactive medium that explores typography, color, motion and interaction.

PROCESS

The duration of each project is two weeks. To start the  five creative projects, I would conduct independent research on a corresponding design, artwork or interactive media object that inspires the project. Then I would sketch the possible view of the project and start coding it using Processing. The following are five projects that involve Typography, Color, Informative Poster,Evocative Poster, Interactive Video. Most of the  projects are interactive and iterative.

COLOR THEORY

The goal of this series of images is to explore color relations. Where I tried to use Processing software sketchbook and use color to add variation to my image . I drew using code all of the aspects of SpongeBob. Then I used a specific combination of colors ( using primary and secondary color) to  have a visual effects. Where I used lighter background color that matches the eyes in order to make the eye pops out. One of my favorite is the purple example where the background is in a lighter purple, it makes his blue eyes really pop out, especially when compared to the pink version on the other side of the 2nd row

Interactive Text 5 x 5

This project produces 25 sketches. Using the five words (Tension, Disparity, Delve, Exquisite, and peace), I have created five interactive sketches for each word. The interaction I choose is  based on the definition of the word.
